I wasn't in the mood for cheesecake (I'm on a salted caramel-apple kick), but you've convinced me. I also like that your cheesecake is crustless which makes it perfect in case you need to share it with someone who's gluten-intolerant. My great-grandma was someone who could make a mean strudel like that and my grandmother learned it from her, unfortunately my grandmother never got around to teaching me before her Parkinson got too bad.
I grew up with quince jelly. My grandparents had a tree in their yard and while pretty much in-edible raw, it is incredible cooked in a jelly or even made into a liqueur.
Your fondant cake looks incredible, are you shipping your creations yet? ;o)
The almonds sound amazing! I'm making note of them for my next trip to Trader Joe's.
And last but certainly not least, your cheesecake looks and sounds divine, again, are you shipping yet? :o)Susi's Kochen und Backenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00142326561973184070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8825290557185698676.post-21197240995777867882010-10-22T17:40:05.634-04:002010-10-22T17:40:05.634-04:00The cheesecake look deliciously smooth but the win...The cheesecake look deliciously smooth but the wine cake is truely a work of art! WDYT? :) It was a fun, but kind of nerve-wracking, project because of the time constraints we work under. Near the end of the class period, one of my fellow students said, "Gosh, how much do you think you'd have to charge for a cake like this??" And another exhausted student replied without hesitation, "$500!!" I thought that was pretty funny, as if you could tack on a fee for the amount of stress involved!
